Shy By Nature Farm launches 2025 organic veg box from Friday 13 June
We are delighted to open up our 2025 organic community veg box scheme to new people.
The veg is looking amazing here on the farm, we are now certified organic with the Organic Trust, almost 120 out of the 140 outdoor beds are planted up, our first tunnel is full of summer veg, and the new second one is about to get covered.
With the first box due out Friday 13 June, this year the veg box comes in three sizes - small, medium and large - with different vegetable portions to suit your love of veg:
How does the box work?
Once you’ve chosen which size suits your needs, then select:
How often you would like to get it - weekly or fortnightly
Your contribution/income level - low, medium, high or highest. We have sliding scale pricing on each of the boxes, so that we can widen access to regenerative organic veg in south Donegal - it’s been excellent seeing this in action over the last couple of year and it is working on a small scale
Your collection point - Donegal Town, Ardara, Killybegs and new for this year Glenties
Plus choose any add ons you’d like (see below)
For each box, we mix it up so there is variety and freshness across the weeks, as well as ensuring you get your staples such as potatoes, salad favourites, summer veg, leafy greens and herbs. Plus some surprises are in the works this year.

Sponsor a veg box
Since we started in 2023, because of our customers, we have given more than 120 boxes to the families supported by the Bluestack Special Needs Foundation. If you would like to sponsor a box, you can add this at https://vegbox.shybynaturefarm.ie/boxes/sponsor-a-vegetable-box.
Also, if you are signed up to a regular box, when you go on holiday or need to pause your box for whatever reason, you can always divert your boxes to the Bluestacks.
Saturdays are volunteer days
Want to get your hands dirty, or not so dirty (!) then come and join a volunteer day any Saturday at the farm. We start from 10am onwards and there is always something happening, whatever the weather. Plus a tasty lunch and you get to hang out with lovely veg lovers ;)
